How does Beat the Final Boss work?

Beat the Final Boss is a free startup-promotion game. Products become fighters, attack one shared boss, and earn visible homepage exposure. Damage is deterministic: no random prizes, hidden multipliers, or fake payments.

01

Enter a public product website free

Submit a public HTTP or HTTPS product page. We normalize the domain, scan its public metadata, and create one fighter. Protocol changes, tracking parameters, paths, and www variants cannot create extra entries.

One normalized domain receives one Free Bonk per raid. A fighter must be registered before optional attacks become available.

02

Damage is deterministic and auditable

The Free Bonk deals 1 DMG. Optional paid attacks follow the same conversion: $1 equals 1 DMG. The public battle feed labels free, paid, and promotional attacks separately.

Stripe checkout creation does not count as damage. Only a signed successful webhook can confirm a payment. Refunds and disputes reverse the corresponding effective damage and unserved rewards.

03

Every effective hit earns exposure

One effective damage earns five Spotlight Minutes. After a defeated raid, eligible fighters rotate through the Victory Lap rather than relying on a draw or manual selection.

  • #1 Raid MVP receives the largest next-raid podium card.
  • #2 Silver Slayer receives a secondary podium card.
  • #3 Bronze Bruiser receives a secondary podium card.
  • The Final Blow fighter receives the homepage hero for 24 hours.
04

One boss, one deadline, then the next raid

A raid lasts no longer than seven days. If the boss reaches zero early, attacks close immediately and the victory state begins. If time expires with HP remaining, the boss escapes; the raid still has an MVP but no Final Blow winner.

Bosses rotate sequentially. There are no categories or parallel rooms splitting the audience during the MVP.

05

Public metrics have strict definitions

“Players online” counts anonymous sessions seen during the previous five minutes. Outbound clicks are first-party redirects deduplicated per visitor and fighter for ten minutes. “Verified paid” excludes free credits, failed checkouts, refunds, and disputed payments.

Frequently asked questions

Before you enter the raid

Is Beat the Final Boss free?

Yes. A public product website can enter the active raid without an account and receives one Free Bonk. Optional paid attacks start at $1.

What does a product receive for damaging the boss?

Every point of effective damage earns five Spotlight Minutes in the post-raid Victory Lap. The top three damage dealers also receive placement during the next raid.

What happens when the boss is defeated early?

Attacks close immediately, rewards and rankings are finalized, and the Final Blow fighter receives the homepage hero for 24 hours. A countdown then introduces the next boss.

How are paid attacks verified?

Opening a checkout never creates damage. A paid attack counts only after Stripe sends a valid, signed payment confirmation to the server.

Are traffic and sales guaranteed?

No. Spotlight and podium time are guaranteed promotional placements, but clicks, leads, sales, or search rankings are never guaranteed.
